Hi Friends!
Today my card displays my favorite stamp set from the occasions catalog called Peaceful petals! I love this card, and hope you will too! This flower is just one of five stamps in the set along with 2 sediments. I couldn’t quite find the right DSP to use for the vertical strip, so I just made one out of the leaf stamp, also from this set! The vertical leaf montage is super easy and I love the way it looks! I’m going to have to create another card with the same montage. Something else I did differently was that I used paper that was more saturated than the ink I used for the stamps. For example, the flower was painted using the aqua painters with Daffodil Delight but the card stalk is summer starfruit. The same goes with greens; pear pizazz and old olive. I hadn’t set out to do this, but in my opinion, it just gave the card more of an earthy look. To keep the earthy look I used Crumb cake as the card base.
Since today is the first day to order items out of the occasions catalog (Click here to see the new occasions products! ) I’ll send anyone who would like to buy items from me a free catalog!
